Hi, I’m Charlie Cosner, founder of OpTrek Drone Services, and my journey to the skies started long before drones ever existed.

I’ve been passionate about aviation since I was just two years old—the sound of engines overhead, the wonder of flight—it captured my imagination early and never let go.

That passion became a career when I joined the U.S. Navy, working on the flight deck of the USS New Orleans (LPH-11). There, I learned the importance of precision, discipline, and staying mission-ready under pressure. I continued my service in the U.S. Army, where I proudly served my country with integrity and focus.

After the military, I dedicated over 25 years to law enforcement, building a reputation as a dependable, mission-driven professional in one of the most demanding careers out there. Through it all, my commitment has remained the same: protecting lives, solving problems, and staying sharp under pressure.

Today, I bring that same mindset to OpTrek Drone Services. We provide aerial inspections, mapping, construction monitoring, and public safety support across East Tennessee—combining advanced drone technology with military precision and public service values.
